Managing Contacts, Lists, Tags, and Segments
In MailMint, everything related to your subscribers is organized under the Contacts menu. Here, you can view all your contacts, group them into lists, tag them for better categorization, and create dynamic segments for targeted campaigns.
1.
Contacts
This is the central place where all your subscriber details are stored. You can manually add new contacts or manage existing ones.
- Navigate to MailMint > Contacts.
- Under the Contacts tab, you can view, edit, or delete individual contacts.
- To add a contact manually, click Add New and fill out the details (e.g., Name, Email). Assign them to a list or add tags if needed.
2.
Lists
Lists are static groups of subscribers, ideal for organizing your contacts based on specific purposes like newsletters or product updates.
- Go to the Lists tab under Contacts.
- Click Add New List, name the list (e.g., “Monthly Newsletter”), and click Save.
- Assign contacts to this list manually or through automations.
3.
Tags
Tags are labels you can attach to contacts to categorize them flexibly. For example, you can tag users as “VIP,” “Prospect,” or “Customer.” Tags allow you to fine-tune your campaigns.
- Go to the Tags tab under Contacts.
- Click Add New Tag, enter a tag name, and save.
- Assign tags to contacts manually or automatically using workflows.
4.
Segments
Segments are dynamic groups of contacts created based on specific criteria, like user activity or location. They help you send more targeted campaigns.
- Go to the Segments tab under Contacts.
- Click Create Segment, and define rules (e.g., “Tag is VIP” or “Last email opened within 30 days”).
- Save the segment for future use in campaigns and automations.
